LSU's Whit Weeks doubtful to return against Alabama

LSU star linebacker Whit Weeks, who missed the past four games with a fractured leg, is doubtful to play in Saturday's home matchup against Alabama, according to Wednesday night's SEC availability report.

Tigers coach Lane Kiffin expressed optimism about Weeks' return before the team's bye last week. In four games this season, the former All-SEC linebacker has 23 tackles.

Meanwhile, Alabama is looking to get back several of its injured starters as wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams, center Racin Delgatty, cornerback Zabien Brown and defensive tackle Terrance Green are all listed as questionable for Saturday's game.

Coleman-Williams, the former freshman All-American, was the team's leading receiver prior to undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

Brown, a preseason All-America pick, was injured early during a loss at Tennessee and did not play the following week vs. Texas A&M.

Like LSU, Alabama had last week off, allowing for extra recovery time.

Also questionable for the Crimson Tide is running back EJ Crowell. The former five-star prospect is arguably the team's most explosive back as he averages 6.8 yards per carry and has four rushing touchdowns this season.
