Jeremiah Smith can't stop breaking records.
Moving to the top of school leaderboards has become near routine for Smith, who has had three games in the last four weeks in which he has either broken or tied an Ohio State record.
In Week 5, Smith became Ohio State's all-time leader in receptions and receiving touchdowns. In Week 4, he tied the school's record for most receiving touchdowns in a game (4). In Week 3, it was career receiving yards.
There were no new marks against Maryland in Week 6, but Smith did catch a pair of touchdowns, putting him just one score away from tying the Big Ten career receiving touchdowns record. His next game with 100-plus yards will also hand him another outright title, with Smith currently being tied with Marvin Harrison Jr. atop the leaderboard for the Buckeyes' all-time leader in 100-plus-receiving-yard games (16).
All sorts of titles are on the table for the Heisman favorite. Can he catch any Big Ten records past the career touchdown reception total? He's closing in on the conference's all-time receiving yards mark as well. And what about single-season records?
We'll be tracking Smith's record-breaking season (and gargantuan stats) weekly.
