South Africa face hosts Morocco in Rabat as two of Africa's most successful teams in recent years clash in the quarter-finals of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Morocco have been beaten finalists in the last two tournaments -- losing to South Africa in 2022 and Nigeria last year. Jorge Vilda is in charge of an Atlas Lionesses side that is playing hosts for a third successive time.

The winner will automatically qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil and face either Cameroon or Nigeria in the WAFCON semi-finals.

The losers of this match and that Sunday West African derby will play each other in the playoffs between the four beaten WAFCON quarter-finalists to determine Africa's two representatives in the Inter-Confederation Playoffs.
