Week 4 in college football had a loaded slate of ranked vs. ranked matchups. With the first month of the season coming to a close, some of these games would set up the College Football Playoff picture the rest of the season.
Three one-loss teams -- Oregon, LSU and Texas A&M needed wins to stay in their respective conference races. LSU, which lost last week to Ole Miss, rolled past A&M. The Aggies, a year after starting 11-0 and going to the playoff, are 0-2 in the SEC.
Oregon lost QB Dante Moore early in the game against USC but rallied behind Dylan Raiola and a big day from Dierre Hill Jr. to notch its fifth straight win over USC.
No. 1 Texas survived its trip to Knoxville and Tennessee 20-17 while No. 2 Georgia crushed Oklahoma. The other notable loss was No. 4 Ole Miss, following its emotional win over LSU, going on the road and losing to Florida.
