Jaguars OT Cole Van Lanen activated after Week 18 injury

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars activated offensive tackle Cole Van Lanen from the physically unable to perform list Thursday.

The Jaguars signed Van Lanen to a three-year, $51 million contract extension with $32.5 million guaranteed as their starting left tackle just days before the 2025 regular-season finale. He suffered a knee injury in that game, missed the playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills and was placed on PUP to begin training camp.

It's unclear where Van Lanen will line up now that he is cleared. The Jaguars moved starting right tackle Anton Harrison to left tackle early in training camp, and all indications are that he will remain at that spot.

That would leave Van Lanen to compete to be the starting right tackle or serve as a backup swing tackle.
