One of the best darts players to have never won the World Championship, James Wade has won a host of major PDC titles without lifting the most coveted trophy of them all.
Only Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler have won more titles than the left-hander who has had several nicknames during his professional career before taking on his current moniker, 'The Machine.'
Wade has been open about navigating life on the darts circuit with bipolar disorder and ADHD. He switched to Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" as his walk-on song as he felt it was "massively appropriate" with his quest to climb back up the rankings.

What has James Wade won?
After making the switch from the BDO and giving up his job as a mechanic to turn professional, Wade became the then-youngest player to win a major PDC title when he claimed the World Matchplay at the aged of 24 in 2007.
He has reached the World Championship semifinals four times (2009, 2012, 2013, 2022) but never made it to the final.
Wade has lost in the second round at Alexandra Palace every year since 2023.
