Iowa starting center Cael Winter expected to miss game vs. Northwestern

Iowa starting center Cael Winter is expected to miss Saturday's game at Northwestern with an undisclosed injury.

Coach Kirk Ferentz said Michael Myslinski, a sixth-year player, is set to step in for Winter. Myslinski, who has been a reserve throughout his career, replaced Winter during the second half of last Saturday's home win against Wisconsin.

The 6-foot-3, 294-pound Winter walked on at No. 21 Iowa and saw his first game action in 2025, before starting the team's first seven games this fall.

Wide receiver Tony Diaz is set to play at Northwestern, Ferentz said.
