RENTON, Wash. -- The Seahawks traded a sixth-round pick to the Detroit Lions to acquire cornerback Mohammed Seisay to add more depth for their secondary.
Cornerbacks Tharold Simon and Jeremy Lane remain on the PUP list. Seisay’s body type fits the profile of a Seahawks corner. He’s 6-foot-2, 202 pounds and has the ability to play press coverage. He worked as an outside cornerback in Monday’s practice. The coaches also will look at him in the slot before figuring out his role.
Second-round pick Frank Clark made the best hit of the day. He beat a tackle badly and made a huge hit on running back Rod Smith.
Getting back to Graham, it’s pretty clear he’s been the offensive star of training camp. What’s amazing about that is the Seahawks haven’t run many plays in the red zone, where Graham is a specialist.
Safety Kam Chancellor remained out of camp in a holdout that is costing him $30,000 a day. He wants more money. The Seahawks remain adamant about not adjusting his contract. With Earl Thomas recovering from shoulder surgery, Steve Terrell and DeShawn Shead are running first team.
Halfback Robert Turbin broke off a long run down the left sideline for a touchdown. That’s a good sign. He’s coming off hip surgery. Some wondered if he was going to be healthy enough to take part in the early part of training camp. Turbin looks totally healthy.
