Las Vegas Aces starting forward NaLyssa Smith will be out the rest of the WNBA season after sustaining a left leg injury in Sunday's 88-78 victory at Toronto.
Smith suffered the non-contact injury going to the basket at the 3:15 mark of the third quarter. The Aces did not announce any other specifics of Smith's injury.
Smith started 38 games and averaged 11.7 points and 6.4 rebounds this season while shooting 63.8% from the field.
Smith, who turned 26 earlier this month, was the No. 2 pick in the 2022 draft by Indiana out of Baylor and spent three years with the Fever. Smith was traded to Dallas before the 2025 season, then was dealt to Las Vegas on June 30, 2025. She helped the Aces win the WNBA title last year, starting all 12 playoff games.
The Aces currently sit in third place in the WNBA standings at 26-13.
They next play Friday at home against Toronto, their last game before the FIBA World Cup break. Three of their top players -- A'ja Wilson, Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray -- are on the U.S. World Cup team.
When WNBA play resumes Sept. 17, the Aces will have four games left.
