And then there were two. After a pair of sweeps in the semifinals, the No. 2 seed Golden State Valkyries and No. 4 Atlanta Dream will play in the WNBA Finals, a best-of-seven series that tips off Saturday at Chase Center in San Francisco.
As the higher seed, Golden State will host Games 1, 2 and, if necessary, 5 and 7 in a 2-2-1-1-1 format.
The Dream announced Tuesday that they will host Games 3 and 4 at State Farm Arena, the home of the Atlanta Hawks. As part of the change, Game 3 also moved from Oct. 22 to Oct. 21.
The Dream's home arena, Gateway Center Arena, holds just 3,500 fans. Six of the Dream's regular-season games this season, and all three playoff games, have been played at State Farm, which seats more than 17,000 fans.
