Mercury beat Storm for 9th straight time, 83-66
PHOENIX -- Noelle Quinn made three of Phoenix's 10 3-pointers and finished with 13 points to help the Mercury beat Seattle 83-66 on Wednesday night for their ninth straight victory over the Storm.
Phoenix is 1 1/2 games behind Western Conference-leading Minnesota, which clinched a playoff spot Tuesday night.
Cayla Francis and DeWanna Bonner added 11 points apiece for Phoenix (15-8). Mistie Bass had nine points and 10 rebounds.
Ramu Tokashiki and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis each scored 14 points for Seattle (6-18). Sue Bird did not play, sitting out the second game of the Storm's back-to-back.
Seattle fell behind 26-17 after one quarter, but Mosqueda-Lewis scored 12 points in the second to keep the Storm within reach at 52-42. Seattle only scored five points in the third, going the final 5 minutes without a point. The teams combined for just 13 points in the third.
