Crystal Palace host Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m., as Pierre Sage looks for a big result to lift the mood at Selhurst Park.
Palace are 18th in the Premier League at the moment, with seven points from nine games, and in midweek, they managed to eke out a 1-1 draw at home in the Europa League against Hoffenheim. Last weekend in the Premier League, Jean-Philippe Mateta's early red card effectively ended the contest, as Palace lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur.
Andoni Iraola's Liverpool are seeking redemption as well. After going on a decent run of form in October, Liverpool have lost their last two games -- first to Arsenal in the Premier League last weekend, and then to Fenerbahce in the Champions League in midweek.

Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool talking points
Szoboszlai poses big question for Iraola
What is Dominik Szoboszlai's best position? Does that position exist in Iraola's system at Liverpool? If not, are Liverpool better off without Szoboszlai? Iraola has some big questions to answer, none of which have simple answers. Szoboszlai's return from injury hasn't been the happiest for him either.
He came on around the hour mark, replacing Trey Nyoni in last weekend's loss to Arsenal, and his arrival coincided with Liverpool losing control of the midfield in that game. He then played a slightly more advanced role for the first hour of the loss to Fenerbahce, and was not impactful. He moved to right-back to accommodate the substitution of Florian Wirtz in the second half, and that didn't go too well either.
With Ryan Gravenberch injured and Nyoni's age perhaps mandating that his minutes be responsibly managed, Szoboszlai might well start this one in a deeper midfield role alongside Alexis Mac Allister, but until he consistently influences games from that position, questions will keep getting asked of Iraola.
Sage's job may depend on result
With an international break coming up after this game, Pierre Sage will definitely be looking nervously into that not-so-distant future. It gives Palace a fortnight of clear thinking to decide on their vision, and it could well be one without Sage in it, particularly if they lose this game as well.
A loss would leave Palace firmly in the relegation zone heading into the international break, more than a quarter of the way into the season. After all the progress they'd made under Oliver Glasner over the last few seasons, that is certainly a situation that the club hierarchy didn't want to find themselves in. It has been striking how easy Palace have been to play through, and score against. That has got to change, as they attempt to keep the likes of Alexander Isak quiet in this one.
