          The 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony on Monday saw soccer's stars gathered at the London Palladium Theatre, waiting to find out who would win the most prestigious individual honor.

          The Ballon d'Or is awarded to the best men's and women's players of the previous season. Ousmane Dembélé from Paris Saint-Germain is the reigning men's winner, while Barcelona's Aitana Bonmatí earned the previous women's award. This year marks the 70th edition of the awards and for the first time ever, the ceremony is being held outside of Paris. London hosts the event in honor of Sir Stanley Mathews, the first award winner.

          A venue change, however, didn't mean the attendees shied away from showing up in style. Tuxedos and simple looks were the headliners on the red carpet as the stars shined.
