We wrapped up the Premier League slate with Newcastle United taking on Aston Villa, as Unai Emery's team won 1-0 on Tyneside.
Elsewhere across the continent, Bologna welcomed Inter Milan in Serie A where the defending champions won 3-1, while Real Betis face unbeaten Barcelona in LaLiga, as Hansi Flick's side continued their perfect run winning 5-2.
Over in the Bundesliga, Union Berlin took on contenders Borussia Dortmund as the match ended in a scoreless draw, while defending champions Bayern Munich host RB Leipzig and made easy work as they won 6-1.
