- Unai Emery keen for Aston Villa to use home advantage in Fenerbahce clash
After defeats to Brighton and Hove Albion and Arsenal to begin the season, Unai Emery's side steadied the ship with a draw at Hull City before claiming their first win of the season away to Club Brugge in the Champions League.
That victory was one of three which Villa have now claimed on their travels -- with the others coming against Coventry City in the Carabao Cup and Spurs in the Premier League -- but Emery spoke ahead of the Fenerbahce game of the importance of making Villa Park a fortress again, given that they Villa had not won there this season until Wednesday night.
"At Villa Park, we have not won yet, so it is very important how we can improve things to be closer to winning," he said in a news conference. "Tomorrow is a very good opportunity to do one step forward in those improvements and the players as well to get confidence and feel comfortable.
"Villa Park is for us something very, very special. It should be like the four years that we are here -- how we achieved this as a special place, our fortress. Tomorrow is a new challenge to show it."
