Como Women have announced that forward Roberta Picchi has been diagnosed with breast cancer and that they will be supporting her through the recovery process.
The club have also extended her contract until 2028.
The 34-year-old joined Como last year and was part of the side that earned promotion to the Serie A for the first time in their history.

"Como 1907 can confirm that Roberta Picchi has been diagnosed with breast cancer following a series of medical examinations," the club said in a statement.
"Everyone at Como 1907 is alongside Roberta and will give her and her family all the support they need during the months ahead. As part of that continued commitment, the Club has also renewed Roberta's contract until the end of the 2027/28 season.
"At this time, we ask that Roberta's privacy is respected as she focuses on her treatment and recovery."
