Tottenham centre-back Micky van de Ven has signed a new contract to extend his stay in north London, the Premier League club has announced.
Spurs have not said how long the contract is due to run for. His previous contract was set to expire at the end of the 2028-29 season.
"It's a special moment to sign a new deal and a proud moment for me and my family," Van de Ven told club media.
"I've always loved Spurs, from the first day I stepped in here. I love the club, I love the fans and I've developed really well here.
"It's clear the direction the club wants to go in and I want to be a part of it. I'm excited about what's to come."
Van de Ven is likely to have a new defensive partner this season with club captain Cristian Romero expected to be moved on this summer, with Atlético Madrid reportedly leading the race for his signature.
The Dutchman has joined Spanish World Cup winner Pedro Porro and Czech goalkeeper Antonín Kinsky in signing a new deal this summer, a few months after Spurs avoided relegation from the Premier League with a final day win over Everton.
Van de Ven regularly captained the club during the injury-enforced absences of Romero, James Maddison and Ben Davies in a campaign which was rescued by the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi at the end of March.
"Micky is one of the best centre-backs in Europe and an important player for us," the Italian head coach said in a statement.
"He has the qualities, mentality and ambition that we want at Tottenham Hotspur, and I am very happy that he has decided to continue his journey with the club.
"We are building something strong here, and players like Micky are an important part of that future. His decision to sign a new contract shows his belief in what we are creating together."

Van de Ven has made 75 appearances for Spurs since arriving at the club from Wolfsburg in August 2023. Perhaps his most famous moment in Lilywhite was the goal-saving clearance in the Europa League final which Spurs won against Manchester United at the end of the 2024-25 season, ending their 17-year trophy drought.
Spurs have been ambitious in the market ahead of the new season, breaking their transfer record twice in the matter of days when Mateus Fernandes joined in an £85 million deal from West Ham and then Sandro Tonali made the move from Newcastle United for a fee that could rise to £100m.
Van de Ven was a regular presence on the left side of the Netherlands' defence during the World Cup as they made it to the round of 32 where Ronald Koeman's team were knocked out on penalties by Morocco.
Spurs round off their preseason campaign with a match against Hoffenheim at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday before beginning their Premier League season against Brentford in west London on Aug. 22.
