Manchester United held reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain to a 1-1 draw in their preseason friendly in Gothenburg, with Bryan Mbeumo cancelling out an early Ibrahim Mbaye goal.
United fell behind after just two minutes as Mbaye swept home from close range following a quick PSG attack, giving Michael Carrick's side the worst possible start.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia almost doubled PSG's advantage moments later, but his effort from distance went wide. United gradually settled and began to create opportunities of their own, with Mbeumo increasingly involved in their attacking play.
The forward had an early header blocked before testing Matvey Safonov with a free-kick. Patrick Dorgu also went close with a header which the PSG goalkeeper saved.
United's pressure eventually paid off in the 32nd minute when Amad Diallo found Mbeumo, who swept a low left-footed finish beyond Safonov to level the game.
Mbeumo was at the heart of United's attack throughout and he drilled another free-kick over the crossbar, while Harry Maguire saw a header from a corner saved.
The first half was not without concern for United, however. Mason Mount was forced off after only 20 minutes, with Tyler Fletcher introduced in his place.
The second half began at a slower tempo, although Mbeumo almost put United ahead in spectacular fashion. A long pass from Maguire sent him towards the right side of the penalty area, where he cut inside before curling an effort towards the far top corner. Safonov produced an excellent save to keep the scores level.

United's summer signing Youri Tielemans was handed his debut in the second half and showed glimpses of promise in his short cameo.
United were then hit by another injury concern when goalkeeper Tom Heaton was forced off in the 49th minute. With no other recognised senior goalkeeper available, Dermot Mee came on to take his place.
The French champions introduced several of their more established players, including Marquinhos, Vitinha, Nuno Mendes and João Neves in the second half but failed to capitalise on their usual attacking prowess.
