Commentary
Man City make it seven wins from seven games, as the hosts beat Ipswich 3-2 at the Etihad. Foden put the Citizens 1-0 up after 19 minutes, when he beat Walton with a first-time finish from inside the box. It took just 135 seconds for Maeda to equalise for Ipswich, when he tussled with Guehi, coming out on top, before beating Donnarumma at his near post. City re-took the lead in the 34th minute through Haaland, who met Kovacic’s cross into the box, powering a header into the net. It was the striker who scored City’s third, and what looked to be the match winner, as he drove past Ouattara and passed his shot into the right side of the goal. Haaland thought he had scored his third with just minutes to go, but Fernandez was offside in the build-up, so VAR ruled it out. VAR was called into action again just minutes later, when they recommended an on-field review after Guehi brought down Fatawu in the box. After a brief check, the referee gave the penalty, which Flemming smashed straight down the middle of the goal. It was a nervy 12 minutes of additional time, but City managed to hold on, despite Semenyo and Haaland both hobbling. The hosts ended the evening with the higher of the expected goals, accumulating 3.53 xG (Ipswich with 1.66 xG). City remain top of the league and continue their perfect start, before they face Aston Villa away next. For Ipswich, they drop to 10th place and return to Portman Road to face Nottingham Forest next time out. Thank you all for tuning in and have a great evening!
FULL-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 3-2 IPSWICH

Late booking for Davis, who takes down Bouaddi from behind.
Relentless pressure from Ipswich now!
It will be a battle from here for City. Semenyo, who hasn't been on the field for long, is hobbling around. City do not have any subs left...

Gvardiol is booked for a late challenge on Fatawu.
