Ireland will be without several key players during November's Nations Championship rugby series with No. 8 Caelan Doris and fly-half Jack Crowley among those ruled out with injury.
Head coach Andy Farrell named his 36-man squad on Wednesday ahead of Tests against Argentina, Fiji and South Africa, while they will also be hoping to challenge for the inaugural Nations Championship crown.
Farrell's side went two-from-three in the July series with wins over Australia and Japan before they lost to the All Blacks in New Zealand.
As well as Doris and Crowley, Ireland will be without Jack Boyle, Harry Byrne, Jack Conan, Iain Henderson, Paddy McCarthy, Calvin Nash and Bryn Ward.
However, Andrew Porter, Ryan Baird, Tommy O'Brien and Mack Hansen were named in Wednesday's squad after they missed the summer series.
Ulster pair Jamie Benson and James McNabey have been called up for the first time.
