Bengals defensive end Cashius Howell out indefinitely after wrist surgery

CINCNNATI -- Bengals defensive end Cashius Howell will be out indefinitely after he had surgery to repair a right wrist injury he sustained in Sunday's win against the Tennessee Titans.

Bengals coach Zac Taylor said that the team is trying to determine a timetable for his return but that Howell will likely be headed to injured reserve.

Howell ranks second among rookies in pressure rate (14.3%), according to ESPN Research. He has one sack in eight games this season.

In other injury news, cornerback DJ Turner II (heel) and defensive end Cedric Johnson (ankle) are considered day-to-day and will be on the plane when the team leaves for Madrid on Tuesday.

The Bengals (5-2) will face the Atlanta Falcons (3-5) on Sunday in Cincinnati's first overseas game since 2019.
