Dan Orlovsky: Rams have to add another WR after losing Davante Adams (1:42)

LOS ANGELES -- Rams wide receiver Davante Adams will miss 6 to 10 weeks with a hamstring injury, head coach Sean McVay said Monday.

Adams' injury, which McVay called a ruptured semitendinosus, appeared to happen late in the fourth quarter in the Rams' 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals while running a route into the end zone.

Adams will undergo a procedure to repair his ruptured hamstring, which will be performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Adams hopes to return on the front end of the six- to 10-week timeframe, as close to the post-Week-11 bye as possible, the source said.

In his Monday news conference, McVay gave a long list of injury updates. Along with Adams, McVay said nose tackle Poona Ford will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured triceps and defensive tackle Kobie Turner will miss "a handful of weeks" with a groin injury. McVay said the Rams will likely put Turner on injured reserve, which would sideline him for at least four games.

McVay also said kicker Blake Grupe, who the Rams placed on injured reserve on Monday, tore his ACL. The Rams have not yet made a corresponding move at kicker, but McVay said the team is "working on some different options."

Pass rusher Myles Garrett, who had knee surgery in mid-September, will not return to practice this week, McVay said. Garrett has missed the last five games.

McVay said cornerback Trent McDuffie, who did not play on Sunday after injuring his groin last week in practice, is "progressing."

"He's feeling much better," McVay said. "The hope is progress this week and kind of determine his status at the end of this week."

In six games this season, Adams, a six-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro, has 30 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns.

McVay said the Rams will talk about whether they will add a receiver to the roster with Adams missing an extended period of time. Along with Puka Nacua and Adams, the Rams have wide receivers Konata Mumpfield, Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell, CJ Daniels and Alex Bachman on their roster.

The Rams entered the season as a 5-1 favorite at DraftKings to win the Super Bowl, according to ESPN Research. Those odds fell to 10-1 after Sunday's loss to the Cardinals and are now 12-1.
