News: 2 days agoDelp is nursing a hamstring injury at training camp with the Saints, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Spin: Delp has caught three of six targets for 10 yards and a touchdown over the Saints' two preseason games this year, though all of that production came in the team's preseason opener. The 23-year-old was selected in the third round of this year's draft, and he's competing with veteran Noah Fant for the top reserve role at tight end behind Juwan Johnson this year. It's unclear what the severity of his injury is, but Delp will have a couple of chances to shake off the injury at practice before Friday's preseason finale versus Dallas.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Delp was selected by the Saints in the third round of April's draft. Delp was busy during his final three seasons at Georgia (1,733 snaps in 42 games), but that didn't lead to much work in the passing game (no more than 24 catches, 284 yards or a 7% target share in a single season). Good speed and hands suggest there's some hope for him as a developmental piece, which is what he'll be in 2026 while playing a situational role behind Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant.
