Philadelphia 76ers stars LeBron James and Joel Embiid will miss Saturday's road game against the Charlotte Hornets with injury management, the team announced.
James's injury designation is low back/sciatica and Embiid's is right foot plantar fasciitis.
Charlotte is Philadelphia's second back-to-back of the season; it's expected that the Sixers will continue to be cautious with playing Embiid and James on back-to-backs as they navigate a long season.
Still, this will be the first game that these two miss together. Each has missed one game with injury management, but not simultaneously so far this season. Jaylen Brown, who missed Friday night's home win over the New York Knicks with a left patella injury, is listed as questionable.
Center Tacko Fall (quad) and forward/center Jabari Walker (knee) were listed as questionable. Fall hasn't played a game yet this season, and Walker hasn't played since injuring his knee in the team's win against the Milwaukee Bucks last Saturday.
Coach Nick Nurse said James had his "best game" of the season in Friday night's win over the Knicks. It was his first 20-point game as a Sixer, as he finished with 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.
