Kawhi Leonard will miss his first game this season due to what the Toronto Raptors are calling left knee swelling.
The All-NBA forward will miss Sunday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In his first season back with the Raptors since helping to win the franchise's first NBA championship in 2019, Leonard is averaging 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals in two games this season.
Leonard has an extensive history of right knee issues including an ACL tear in 2021 and a meniscus tear in 2023. The LA Clippers, who traded Leonard to Toronto before the season, load-managed Leonard for much of his tenure there due to issues with the knee.
