Welterweight bouts Hendricks-Magny, Brown-Saffiedine added to UFC 207 card

The UFC has added a pair of welterweight fights to UFC 207 on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas.

Former champion Johny Hendricks will face rising contender Neil Magny, and Matt Brown will square off opposite Tarec Saffiedine. The pay-per-view event takes place at T-Mobile Arena.

Hendricks (17-5) is looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats. Since winning the UFC championship in March 2014, Hendricks has been in somewhat of a free fall. He surrendered the title to Robbie Lawler in December 2014. And he has lost three of his past four fights overall.

Hendricks' latest appearance resulted in a unanimous decision loss to Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 200.

Magny (18-5) is coming off a first-round TKO loss to Lorenz Larkin at UFC 202 in August. The Denver-based fighter had won three in a row prior to the defeat.

A female bantamweight championship fight between Amanda Nunes (13-4) and Ronda Rousey (12-1) is scheduled to headline UFC 207.
