Josh Koscheck's Bellator MMA debut has been postponed indefinitely due to an undisclosed injury.
Koscheck, 38, was scheduled to make his first Bellator appearance in a headlining role at Bellator 138 on Jan. 29 in Fresno, California.
Officials confirmed Koscheck's removal from the card to ESPN.com on Wednesday, following an initial report by Sherdog. A welterweight fight between Paul Daley and Andy Uhrich will now headline.
There is no immediate timeframe for Koscheck's return. His opponent, Matt Secor, has also been removed from the event.
Koscheck (17-10) signed with Bellator last summer, ending an 11-year run with the UFC. He fought for the UFC's 170-pound title in 2010, but he left the promotion on a five-fight skid. He has not won a fight since early 2012.
It appeared Bellator was working toward a fight between Koscheck and Daley (37-13-2), by placing them on the same card. The two fought in 2010 when they were each signed with the UFC. Koscheck took a clear-cut unanimous decision. A frustrated Daley sucker-punched Koscheck after the fight, leading to his dismissal from the promotion.
