Tarik Skubal will take the ball for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of his team's National League Championship Series showdown against the Milwaukee Brewers, followed by Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced those initial pitching plans Friday, ahead of traveling to Milwaukee for Saturday's workout. Game 1 from American Family Field is Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, with Monday's Game 2 slated for 5 p.m.

Skubal, acquired from the Detroit Tigers in a blockbuster trade Aug. 2, pitched six innings of one-run ball against the Atlanta Braves in Game 1 of the NLDS. Yamamoto followed with seven innings, allowing one run, to outduel Braves ace Chris Sale in Game 3.

Blake Snell, who recorded only 11 outs in the Dodgers' lone NLDS loss in Game 2, will likely follow in Game 3 from Dodger Stadium on Wednesday, though Roberts was not ready to announce his starters beyond the first two games. Tyler Glasnow would be the likely option for Game 4.

The Brewers are expected to start likely NL Cy Young Award winner Jacob Misiorowski and Logan Henderson in the first two games, respectively.

Skubal has allowed six runs (five earned) in 12 innings against the Brewers this season. Yamamoto allowed two runs in 13 innings against the Brewers during the regular season and twirled a complete game against them in Game 2 of last year's NLCS sweep, allowing just one run.
