DOVER, Del. -- — Robert Smith's 27 points helped Delaware State defeat NJIT 71-59 on Wednesday night.
Smith also contributed six rebounds for the Hornets (5-6). Martez Robinson scored 10 points while going 2 of 9 and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line and added eight rebounds.
Tim Moore Jr. led the Highlanders (2-10) in scoring, finishing with 20 points, seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks. NJIT also got 13 points, four assists and two steals from Tariq Francis.
