Arkansas-Pine Bluff runs away from Ecclesia 83-47
PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- Ghiavonni Robinson scored 19 points and added six boards and Arkansas Pine-Bluff cruised past Ecclesia College 83-47 for its first win of the season on Monday night.
Travon Harper finished with 11 points and six rebounds while Trent Steen added 10 points and grabbed seven boards for the Golden Lions (1-1).
Arkansas-Pine Bluff shot an even 50 percent from the field and held over a 2-to-1 advantage in assists (22-9) while holding Ecclesia to just 30.2 percent shooting defensively.
The Golden Lions never trailed and opened up a double figure lead (23-13) on a David Tillman dunk with 7:38 left in the first half. From there the Golden Lions continued to pile on, extending their lead to 41-19 at halftime before eventually reaching a game high 37 (82-45) in the final minute.
Austin Burroughs led Ecclesia with 14 points. David Gaut finished with 11.
