George Washington rolls past Howard 79-62
WASHINGTON -- Jaren Sina sank five 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 20 points to lead George Washington to a 79-62 win over Howard on Saturday.
Tyler Cavanaugh added 13 points to go with his 13 rebounds and Jordan Roland had 11 points for George Washington (7-4), which hit 13 of 26 from beyond the arc.
The Colonials scored 10 of the game's first 12 points and never trailed. They took a 43-34 advantage into the break, then opened the second half with another 10-2 run and led by double figures the rest of the way. Collin Smith slammed in a dunk and got a jumper during the breakaway run.
Howard (1-7) got 27 points from Charles Williams, a career best. Solomon Manghan added 11 points and got 10 rebounds for the Bison.
