Horton leads Austin Peay to 83-55 win over Oakland City

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Chris Horton scored 17 points and grabbed 19 rebounds for the 38th double-double of his career to lead Austin Peay to an 83-55 victory over Division II Oakland City on Wednesday night.

Josh Robinson added 16 points and Khalil Davis 14 for the Governors (2-4). Horton also had four blocked shots to give him 275 for his career.

Addison Wagler had 22 points and Byron Dulin 12 for the Mighty Oaks (2-1).

Austin Peay had 23 offensive rebounds and dominated the boards 55-33.

Oakland City only had 12 turnovers but Austin Peay turned those into 17 points while Governors only had five turnovers.

The Governors led 46-32 at halftime and worked the lead to 31 with just under five minutes to go.

Oakland City made just one-of-11 3-pointers and shot 37 percent, 28 in the second half.
