Rosenberg, Columbia roll past Penn in 93-65 win
PHILADELPHIA -- Alex Rosenberg scored a career-high 26 points, including four 3-pointers, and Columbia rolled to a 93-65 win over Pennsylvania on Saturday night.
Maodo Lo added 15 points for Columbia (20-9, 9-3 Ivy League), Grant Mullins had 14 and Jeff Coby 10. The Lions shot 64 percent from the field (34-53) to record their largest-ever margin of victory against Penn and reach the 20-win plateau for just the second time since the 1969-70 season.
Columbia took control with a 16-2 run stretching across both sides of the intermission to make it 58-38 with 16:03 left. Rosenberg, who finished 10 of 14 from the field, hit a 3-pointer to spark the run and Mullins drained a 3 to cap it.
Darien Nelson-Henry sank the game's opening basket to give Penn (11-14, 5-6) its only lead.
Nelson-Henry finished with 18 points to lead the Quakers, Jackson Donahue added 16 and Matt Howard 14.
