Stephen F. Austin overwhelms Arkansas Tech 94-57
NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Clide Geffrard scored a career-high 14 points to lead four players in double figures as Stephen F. Austin overwhelmed Division II's Arkansas Tech 94-57 on Saturday.
SFA (9-3) extended its win streak to eight games as Thomas Walkup and Demetrious Floyd had 13 points apiece and Jacob Parker chipped in 12.
Arkansas Tech stayed close until Walkup drove for a layup and followed with a jumper to start a 16-0 run and a 29-9 lead midway of the first half. The Lumberjacks held a 49-28 halftime advantage and coasted to the win in the final period.
SFA made 12 of 24 from long range and was 30 of 55 (54.5 percent) from the floor while limiting Arkansas Tech to 17-of-47 (36.2 percent) shooting.
Darrick Little totaled 17 points for the Wonder Boys.
