Elon drains 9 treys to beat Western Carolina 74-60
ELON, N.C. -- Lucas Troutman scored 17 points with 10 rebounds and Tanner Samson added 15 points to lift Elon to a 74-60 victory Thursday night over Western Carolina.
Sebastian Koch scored 13 points and Kevin Blake added 12 points and was a perfect 5 of 5 from the line for Elon (11-11, 4-3 Southern), which snapped a three-game losing skid.
Elon was 9 of 17 (52.9 percent) from three-point range. Samson made four of his six 3-point attempts and Jack Isenbarger was 3 for 3 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points. Elon leads the conference in three-point field goal percentage at 39 percent.
Brandon Boggs scored 19 points on 8-of-20 shooting to lead Western Carolina (12-11, 5-3), which has lost three of its previous four games. James Sinclair added 18 points with eight rebounds.
