Harvard cruises by Howard 76-44
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Kyle Casey scored 14 points to lead a balanced offense as Harvard defeated Howard 76-44 on Friday night.
Harvard (3-0) jumped to a 9-2 lead. Howard (2-2) closed the gap but the Crimson continued to lead throughout the first half and took a 37-19 lead to halftime.
Harvard continued to cruise in the second half, and held Howard in check defensively. The Crimson built a 45-23 lead early in the second half and the Bison were unable to lessen the deficit. Howard was 0-of-10 from 3-point range and committed 19 turnovers.
Wesley Saunders scored 12 points for the Crimson and Steve Moundou-Missi added 10.
James Daniel led Howard with 14 points and Prince Okoroh added 10. No other Howard player scored more than four points for the Bison.
Harvard has now won 13 straight games at Lavietes Pavilion.
