Heath nets 28, Canisius tops Saint Peter's 82-67
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Jordan Heath scored a career-high 28 points to lead Canisius in an 82-67 victory over Saint Peter's on Friday night.
Heath was 11 for 17 from the field and 4 of 6 from 3-point range. He also had 10 rebounds as the Golden Griffins (4-3, 1-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) won their third straight against the Peacocks.
Canisius allowed Saint Peter's to within 54-45 with 12:59 left, but that was as close as it would get. Chris Manhertz added 10 points and six rebounds while Billy Baron had a season-high seven assists.
The Griffs had 16 assists to a season-low six turnovers while Saint Peter's held a 36-30 advantage on the boards, but turned the ball over 13 times.
Marvin Dominique led Saint Peter's (2-5, 0-1) with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Vic Adams added 13 points
