Nebraska Omaha over Nevada 82-80
RENO, Nev. -- John Karhoff scored a season-high 25 points to lead Nebraska Omaha to an 82-80 victory over Nevada on Saturday night.
Karhoff hit 8 of 14 from the field and sank 9 of 12 from the line. Four other Nebraska Omaha players were in double digits including Devin Patterson with 18 points, CJ Carter 13 and Mike Rostampour 11 plus seven rebounds. The win was the fifth straight for the Mavericks (8-3).
Down by nine with 6 minutes left in the second half, Nevada's Deonte Burton hit a 3-pointer, sparking a 15-6 run to tie the game at 80 with 40 seconds left to play.
In the final 10 seconds, Mavericks forward Matt Hagerbaumer grabbed a rebound after a missed Burton jumper and Carter sank a layup to break the tie for the win.
Jerry Evans Jr. had 24 points for the Wolf Pack (4-7).
