Odum leads Indiana State over Belmont 85-73
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Jake Odum scored 25 points as Indiana State defeated Belmont 85-73 on Saturday.
It was the second game between the two teams this season with Belmont winning 96-95 at home on Nov. 14 after rallying from a 16-point second-half deficit.
The Bruins trailed by only two, 38-36, at halftime on Saturday, but there wasn't to be a victory this time, though they had a one-point lead until Odum's basket put the Sycamores up for good at 51-50 with 10:06 remaining.
A 10-3 run, including seven points by Odum, gave the Sycamores (9-3) a 10-point cushion with 3:35 left and the Bruins wouldn't get closer than eight after that.
Odum made 10 of 11 free throws and had seven assists. Manny Arop added 16 points and Justin Gant, Demetrius Moore and Khristian Smith 10 each.
Craig Bradshaw scored 18 points to lead Belmont (8-6), which has lost four straight.
