CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Kannon Burrage scored 21 and Michael Hale III had 20 points to lead Texas-San Antonio to a 75-45 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday night.
Both Burrage and Hale were 4 of 8 from 3-point range. Burrage also led with seven rebounds, and Hale had six assists. Jeromie Hill added 18 points.
The Roadrunners, who never trailed, led 36-21 at halftime and made 14 points off turnovers by the Islanders. The Roadrunners (4-6) shot 51 percent from the field for the game, while the Islanders shot 34.7 percent.
Will Nelson had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Islanders (1-8). Joy Williamson added 11. Johnathan Jordan had six assists.
