CONWAY, Ark. (AP) -- Marcus Pillow scored 19 points Wednesday night as Central Arkansas topped Missouri Valley 75-54.

Pillow was also the assists leader for UCA (4-1), with 7.

Neither team shot particularly well in the first half, with UCA hitting 38 percent of its shots from the field and the Vikings (0-6) making 30 percent. But the Bears improved to 52 percent after intermission, while the accuracy of Missouri Valley's players rose to 35 percent.

UCA led 29-19 at the half.

Seven straight points by Nate Bowie and back-to-back three-pointers by Pillow and York Sims gave the Bears a 60-38 cushion with six minutes left. Bowie finished with 17 points, while Sims scored 15.

Craig Jones topped the Vikings' efforts with 16 points, while Kai Haenig added 13.
