Appalachian St. 71, Campbell 64

BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) -- Ryann Abraham scored 14 points to lead four double-figure scorers as Appalachian State defeated Campbell 71-64 on Wednesday.

Kellen Brand, Davis Browne and Doug McLaughlin Williams scored 10 points each for the Mountaineers (3-2).

Jonathan Rodriguez led Campbell (1-3) with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Kyle Vejraska had 17 points.

The Mountaineers closed the first half on a 12-0 run to lead 39-22 at the half.

Donte Minter opened the second half with a jumper for Appalachian, but then the Camels got 10 straight points to cut the gap to nine. The Mountaineers built a 15-point lead, and the Camels were unable to pull within single digits until Vejraska's basket with 3:33 to go cut the score to 58-50.
