Kimi Antonelli received so many messages after winning the Italian Grand Prix, which he called the best day of his life, that his WhatsApp crashed that evening.
Antonelli stormed from 19th to win his home race in stunning fashion, a statement performance in what looks likely to be his first championship year.
The 20-year-old was inundated with congratulatory messages, including from Italian sporting royalty such as Moto GP legend Valentino Rossi and world tennis number one Jannik Sinner.
"I received a lot," Antonelli said. "Actually, on WhatsApp, when I went to the app after the race, I got so many messages that the app crashed. So I went into the app and got out without even touching the phone because it exploded.
"But I received a lot of nice messages, you know, from, you know, Jannik [Sinner], [Marco] Bezzecchi, Vale [Rossi]. it was super nice to see so much support and also so much enthusiasm, so much excitement. So that was very, very cool.
"It's really hard to pick a message that would stand out compared to all the others. I think all of them were super, super nice."

Antonelli's Monza win was the first by an Italian since 1966.
He said he was aware of the carnival atmosphere even when he was still racing at the end of the Grand Prix and could feel the support from the fans who had gone to root for Ferrari.
"It was an incredible moment for me, so far the best day of my life," he added.
"It was incredible to see so many Ferrari fans cheering and chanting my name on the podium. Of course, also in the race I think what also made a difference were the fans, because in the last 10 or 15 laps, every time I was exiting the chicane, I could see the grandstand on the right and I could see everyone standing up every time I was passing by. So, yeah, it was an incredible moment for me.
"It's definitely one I will remember forever."
