Annika Sorenstam congratulates countryman Henrik Stenson on winning The Open

Henrik Stenson became the first male Swedish golfer to win a major, and aside from Stenson himself, no one was happier than countrywoman Annika Sorenstam.

Sorenstam, a fellow Swede who has won 10 LPGA majors herself, saluted Stenson, who shot a 20-under for The Open to win his first major and earn the Claret Jug.

I am so happy for @henrikstenson What an amazing performance! He has been close several times and it was just a matter of time before he won a Major. He is a very hard worker and it's nice to see his commitment pay off. He has a great family and I am very excited for them. I look forward to toasting them back at @lakenonagcc
