Last week Sloane Stephens won her first WTA title at the Citi Open. But the thrill of victory was clearly short-lived because she lost to Dominika Cibulkova in straight sets in the first round at the Rogers Cup.
Even before the match was close to over, Stephens showed her frustrations in the most epic way possible. After dropping serve in the first set, the 22-year-old slammed her racket on the ground so violently it snapped into two pieces.
What did the racket ever do to you, Sloane? Sheesh. We should probably start calling her Sloane "The Hulk" Stephens, because that is some impressive strength and we clearly never want to get her angry.
UPDATE: Stephens' racket smash even caught the attention of her longtime frenemy Serena Williams, who threw either praise or shade (your call), on Wednesday morning. So that's saying something.
