South Africa have all but secured their place in the third round of CAF's Women's Olympic qualifying after a 4-0 first leg win over Madagascar, but the reverse fixture in Bloemfontein can give Desiree Ellis a useful opportunity to experiment.
Ronnel Donnelly's hat-trick handed Banyana Banyana a comfortable win in Friday's first leg - which was also played at Bloemfontein's Free State Stadium due to a lack of available facilities in Madagascar, but behind closed doors.
On Tuesday, fans will be welcomed back into the venue as Banyana will be the hosts in both theory and practice.
Desiree Ellis has a blend of experience and youth in her squad and now has the opportunity to go further in testing combinations than she did in the first leg.
Tigres UANL forward Thembi Kgatlana only made a brief cameo off the bench, but will likely be fresher after having had more time to acclimatise - and Ellis has the opportunity to see how several young players combine with her.
UWC forward/attacking midfielder Zoe October (18) is one young player who has been in national team squads for some time and could be given a chance to show Banyana Banyana fans what she can do on Tuesday.
Siyamthanda Qashani may be more of a late bloomer, but has been banging in the goals for the University of Pretoria and could be given a chance to do so at national team level.
The starting goalkeeper spot has been hotly contested between Kaylin Swart and Andile Dlamini for years, but Ellis may also opt to give Dlamini's Mamelodi Sundowns teammate, Kebotseng Moletsane, a run between the sticks.
Ahead of crucial World Cup qualifiers in November and December against Chinese Taipei, Ecuador and Uzbekistan, Banyana could do with as much depth as possible. Friday offered promising signs, and Ellis is likely to search for more on Tuesday.
