The stage is set for India's campaign at the Asian Games 2026 in Japan's Aichi-Nagoya. The Games will be held from September 19 to October 4, with Nagoya City's Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium hosting the opening and closing ceremonies. A total of 469 medals will be on offer in 43 sports with events happening across 54 venues.
The 501-member Indian contingent is aiming to build on its best-ever Asian Games performance at Hangzhou in 2023, where the country won 106 medals, including 28 gold, to finish fourth in the standings.

Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod combined for a total of 1898.0 points to finish second behind China, who topped the standings with a world-record score of 1904.2.
