The Buffalo Bills' defense has a lot to account for on "Monday Night Football."
Los Angeles Rams star receiver Puka Nacua can hurt them across the middle. Davante Adams can attack outside. And Kyren Williams has become a bigger part of the passing game, having posted 16 catches over the past two weeks, so Buffalo's linebackers have to handle the run and track Williams when he leaves the backfield. That can leave space behind them for Nacua.
Buffalo needs James Cook III to make the Rams' defense respect the run. The Rams are allowing just 4.8 yards per pass attempt, so asking Josh Allen to carry everything through the air is a tough assignment. Cook can help draw the attention of defenders and open up play-action, while Allen's legs add another problem because coverage can hold up and he can still move the chains. If DJ Moore sits, Buffalo needs Keon Coleman to give Allen somewhere to go outside when the Rams crowd the middle.

Betting outlook
I would consider the Rams -3 because their scoring hasn't matched how well they've moved the ball. They're sixth in yards per play but average just 21.3 points per game. Turnovers explain part of that gap. Matthew Stafford already has six interceptions, after throwing eight all last season, and Los Angeles collectively has committed multiple turnovers in four straight games. I wouldn't assume that it suddenly disappears, but I also wouldn't treat this stretch as what we should expect every week.
The Rams have faced San Francisco, Denver and Philadelphia, so the offense has had to work through some difficult defensive assignments. Buffalo presents a chance to turn that yardage into more points. The Bills are in the bottom 10 in points per play allowed. That's why the spread interests me; the Rams just need to stop giving possessions away and finish the opportunities they've already been consistently creating.
Bet: Total points OVER 54.5 (-118)
I like the pace and the passing volume here. The Rams play at the fifth-fastest neutral pace, and Allen averaged 41.5 dropbacks when Buffalo was an underdog last season. That gives both offenses more opportunities to score, with fewer running plays draining the clock. The Rams can cover if they protect the ball, but turnovers could help the scoring if they give Buffalo short fields.

Note: Odds by DraftKings and subject to change.
Matthew Stafford rushing yards OVER 2.5 (+100)
Liz Loza: Having totaled a single rushing yard over the whole of the 2025 regular season, Stafford is certainly not known to be a mobile QB. That said, he has registered at least 10 rushing yards in each of his last two contests. Additionally, the Bills have allowed the fifth-most rushing yards to opposing QBs. C.J. Stroud, Justin Herbert, and Drake Maye all surpassed double-digit rushing yards against Buffalo, while Jared Goff contributed seven yards on the ground. The bar here is so low and the bet is juicy enough to bite.
Davante Adams 70+ receiving yards (+123)
Eric Moody: Adams has cleared this line in two of four games this season, both coming with Puka Nacua inactive. Nacua commands a massive target share, but the Bills have allowed the fourth-most receiving yards to wide receivers. Stafford should also have time to find his playmakers behind a Rams offensive line that ranks sixth in pass block win rate. I believe both receivers can have productive games Monday night, especially with such a high game total.
