LAFAYETTE, La. -- Brian Davis kicked five field goals and Arkansas State rolled up 526 yards of offense in a 50-27 victory over Louisiana-Lafayette on Tuesday night.
The Red Wolves (5-3, 3-1 Sun Belt Conference) scored 20 points in the game's first 16 minutes en route to stretching their conference winning streak to seven games and stopping Louisiana-Lafayette's home winning streak at eight games. The Ragin' Cajuns (4-3, 2-2) were plagued by five turnovers.
Arkansas State quarterback Ryan Aplin completed 21 of 31 passes for 269 yards and one touchdown. Rocky Hayes led the Red Wolves in rushing, gaining 86 yards on three carries with one touchdown.
Terrance Broadway was 28 for 39 passing and three touchdowns for Louisiana-Lafayette, but had three interceptions.
