News: 3 days agoDelp (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lions.
Spin: Delp didn't practice at all this week after initially suffering the injury last month. The third-round rookie will have to wait to make his regular-season debut. Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant will handle tight-end duties for New Orleans.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Delp was selected by the Saints in the third round of April's draft. Delp was busy during his final three seasons at Georgia (1,733 snaps in 42 games), but that didn't lead to much work in the passing game (no more than 24 catches, 284 yards or a 7% target share in a single season). Good speed and hands suggest there's some hope for him as a developmental piece, which is what he'll be in 2026 while playing a situational role behind Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant.
